Introduction

Good health is a very important asset in one’s life. People from the underprivileged community have lack of proper health facilities which creates a serious impact in their lives. Asha Deep Foundation lays immense emphasis on provision of health to the community and hence has variety of projects catering to the health needs of people. With sky rocketing expenses in private hospitals and clinics, there is a void created for efficient health services for the poor. ADF helps to bridge this gap by providing health care at its Community Health Centre in Shahid Nagar. The OPD services are availed by the community at a nominal cost.

Objectives

• To provide access to health care services to the deprived and poor people
• To provide curative and preventive healthcare to the beneficiaries of ADF
• To provide healthcare support to the various ADF projects (Asha Creche, Asha Niketan Homes, Gali Pre-schools and others)

Activities

• General OPD services for consultation and treatment of patients
• Widespread awareness during World Health Day, World No Tobacco Day and World AIDS Day
• Conduction of health camps regularly
