CHILDLINE 1098 is a 24 hour free emergency service for children in need of care and protection and is affiliated by Union Ministry of Women and Child Development. It takes care of missing, abused, runaway children and also of those who need medical assistance.
Asha Deep foundation has been operating this program in collaboration with Gaziabad police and childline India foundation since 2010 and has remained successful in its Implementation with restoration of 29600 children till now.
Asha Deep Foundation inaugurated the Ghaziabad Chapter of the National emergency telephonic toll free helpline service CHILDLINE 1098 in the year 2010 and in the case of Missing children, Child labour, Child Marriage, Drug Abuses, Asha Deep Foundation provided the Educational Sponsorships and Medical Assistance in support from the other organization like hospitals, shelter homes, schools and de- Addiction units in Ghaziabad.
Missing children’s families are being traced in different parts of country though various channels and are returned to their parents.

It is a mass community awareness program which was conducted exhaustively in different parts of Ghaziabad. Aim was to make people aware of the childline number 1098 and its usage, in case, they come in contact with a victim.
Concerned authority was able to cover more than 29600 cases since the inception of the program. Last year 170 areas of Gaziabad were targeted and 167 areas were covered and Asha Deep Foundation was able to handle 350 cases. It was ensured that the best interest of the child is taken care of and maximum help is provided to them.
Under this program, children were made aware in several schools of Gaziabad about the helpline number.
In this initiative, various public places like bus stands, temples, railway stations, local communications, mails, parks were focused and awareness program was operated.
8 blocks from Ghaziabad were covered - Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Govind Puram, Dasna, MisalGarhi, Patel Nagar, Mukund Nagar, Mohan Nagar, Vasundhra, Indirapuram, Arthla, Shalimar Garden, Pappu Colony, DLF Bhopura, Lal kuan, modinagar, muradnagar, police line, harsawn, Bhameta, kasha ram Flats, Choudhary More, Nehru nagar. Bharat nagar, Valmiki Basti, Gaushala Phatak, lohiyanagar, Old Railway Station, Old Bus stand, Ghokna, Nand gram, shahidnagar, MMG Hospital, Chaman Colony, New Bus Stand, Islam nagar, prashantVihar, Geetanjali, Idgah, Delhi-UP Border, Sewanagar, Arthala, meerut Road, Choudhary mall, Kamla Market, panchsheel, garima Garden, telephone Exchange, Rajiv nagar, Ghantaghar, Jhandapur, CISF Camp, Sai mandir and more than 40,000 people were made cognizant of the service of childline1098
Street Plays held at Dasna, Vijay Nagar, Bus Stand-Jatwada, slum areas of Pratap Vihar, Panchsheel, Shahid Nagar, Idgah, Garima Garden, Govindpuram
Phone testing were done in the various new areas during the outreach and phone testing. If any connection problem was faced, it was reported back to Childline India Foundation and problem was rectified.
During the last few years, the following police stations were covered for awareness:-Kavi Nagar, Murad Nagar, Loni, Vijay Nagar, GhantaGhar, Kotvali Ghaziabad, Sihani Gate, Indirapuram Thana, Sahibabad, Bhojpur, Pillakhwa, dholana, Masoori, Modi nagar, Hafizpur, Link Road, Police Line, babugarh, Bahadurgarh, GarhMukhteshwar and Mahila Thana.
Various children group were formed in the area of Ghaziabad. The children are always focused for the outreach so to have the children aware of the services available for them. These initiatives made the children aware of their right to education and development. Children drop out of school started to take admission in schools again.

In the month of November, Childline celebrates the event of Childline se Dosti. Children from Schools, Shelter homes and Street participates in this event. Friendship amongchildline team, police personnel and children remains the central theme to inculcate sense of protection in deprived children.
