Asha Deep Foundation has always been progressing in the care sector. Health care sector has been a prime objective of Asha Deep Foundation and hence the establishment of GDA was done. General Duty Assistant is a training program of Asha Deep Foundation. About 40 students are enrolled in GDA program. The core duties of GDA are to take holistic care of a patient. These care practices included taking care of skin, eyes, basic health, calculation of blood pressure, phlebotomy, to assign IVP to the patient, setting up the cannula etc. The trainees come from underprivileged communities of Delhi- NCR . The main aspect of this GDA course is that all the youth would get a certified recognition after three months training that they have been successfully trained to be a General Duty Assistant. Not only physical training, but technical and computer skills are also trained. They are trained to operate computer and learn from ‘Learnwise’. In this website, the curriculum is divided into 5 spectrums such as: Watch, Think, Collaborate, Do, Explore.

GDA is a holistic approach for a better and healthy life of the needy people and similarly for Core employability project. In Core employability project, practical implication of skill training, orator ship, life manners etc. are being trained. In this manner, Asha Deep Foundation’s GDA program is taking a small step towards instilling life skills in the youths. It is supported by SMILE FOUNDATION.
