PROJECTS » Community & Health ......

Despite being recognized a settlement colony, Shahid Nagar in East Delhi, still has no proper drainage system and virtually floods with each rain. Meanwhile, ADF continues its effort to reach out to the community and those surrounding it, in an attempt to make them realize the importance of adopting a healthy way of life.

The health project of ADF was started in 1982 to provide curative and preventive health care services to the underprivileged people. With this view a health centre was set up in D-81 Shahid Nagar in Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border to offer services to people of the area. Mobile health services were also started to cover backward areas of Delhi. In 1996, some other areas in the vicinity of Shahid Nagar were also taken up for health services.
