| Asha Deep Foundation celebrated its Annual Day on 22nd November 2007 at Project office of Shahid Nagar. This year was dedicated to the senior citizen of the community. A souvenir, Neev, was released on the occasion. All the beneficiaries, women, children, senior citizen, physically challenged, of ADF project enthusiastically participated in the celebration. Bishop Rt. Rev. Sunil Singh of Diocese of Delhi presided over the programme. Renowned dignitaries of the society such as Mr. Veer Singh Dhingan, MLA Seemapuri Constituency, Dr. Shashi Narayana, Deputy Director HelpAge India and Mrs. S.M. Rao, Vice President NCCI attended the programme. Nearly 3000 community people and children were present in the function. The programme was started with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest followed by Welcome Dance by the Children of Asha Niketan Home. Children of St. James Convent School, Asha Niketan Home and women from community who are associated with ADF project presented cultural programme on the occasion. Chief guest Bishop Rt. Rev. Sunil Singhji was very impressed with the development work of Asha Deep Foundation. He encouraged the workers and people in his speech to work collectively for the welfare of community. |
